All profits and no losses on KDL Market Day
JODI STARKOWITZ
King David Linksfield’s legendary annual Market Day was held on Sunday September 11.
This fun-filled, yet educational day, is one of the highlights on the school calendar where grade 8s are teamed up with grade 11 accountancy learners in an effort to teach them about profit and loss in the retail space.
Different groups set up their stands of popcorn selling, bead making, chip frying, while loud music filled the air. Hundreds of people arrived to support this colourful day.
The school is grateful to Phil Khumalo and the other EMS (Economic Management Sciences) teachers, who helped make Market Day such an exciting, fun-filled and educational experience. The day was a great success and an experience the grade 8s and 11s will never forget.
