Braving a winter’s night for a good cause
Jewish CEOs are among the many top executives who have volunteered to sleep out under the stars on a freezing winter night next Thursday, June 18, to bring hope and a home to South Africa’s most vulnerable children.

The 702 Sun International CEO SleepOut has invited business leaders to unite for this good cause – requiring each to contribute R100 000 in addition to spending the winter night in the open air. The target is to raise R25 million.
The CEO SleepOut movement has raised millions of dollars worldwide and has now reached South Africa. The executives will sleep outside in Gwen Lane in Sandton, to show their courage, compassion and grit.
The Jewish CEOs (in the order they appear on the ceosleepout website) are: Mark Levy, Blue Label Telekoms; Brett Levy, Blue Label Telekoms; Asher Bohbot, EOH; Yossi Mazoz, Thurloe Corp; Ran Neu-Ner, The Creative Counsel; Wayne Abraham, AIG SA; Stephen Koseff, Investec; Ray Levin, KIA
Motors; Adrian Gore, Discovery Group; David Smollan, Smollan Group; Jonathan Broomberg, Discovery Health; Kim Feinberg, Tomorrow Trust; Richard Friedland, Netcare; Dawn Nathan-Jones, Europcar; Guy Golan, Performanta; and Herschel Jawitz; Jawitz Properties.

‘I don’t know about in S. Africa – but in the U.S.A. our religious leaders would certainly not be able to afford the 100 grand that executive CEOs are able to have their companies pay for them’

‘Our religious leaders raise huge sums for various projects. What better cause than this? And if they don’t have the money, let them do it anyway, to show solidarity with the less fortunate. Lead by example.’
