Celebrating Purim and the joy of sharing

The mitzvah of giving mishloach manot is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim feast, and to increase love and friendship among Jews and their neighbours.

To this end, King David Victory Park Primary School created Purim hampers consisting of apple juice, crisps and chocolates for Seniors of South Africa, a non-profit organisation that offers assistance to the elderly in the community. Pupils designed and packed their own hampers and helped deliver them to the elderly. This made Purim that much more meaningful for all involved.
