Menachem Rose of Torah Academy couldn’t have brought more nachus to proud parents Rabbi Aharon and Mashi Rose – or headmaster Rabbi Motti Hadar – as they watched him receive a certificate of excellence from the HOD & MEC og Education for notching up 2nd place in Gauteng’s matric class of 2013 – & in the presence of Premier Nomvula Mokoyane ‘nogal’

A proud principal of Torah Academy Boys’ High School, Rabbi Motti Hadar, witnessed his “star” 2013 matric pupil Menachem Rose, son of Rabbi Aharon and Mashi Rose of Waverley Shul, receive an award for notching up second place in the Gauteng Province in the independent schools which wrote the Gauteng Education Department National Senior Certificate examinations.
Menachem, who scored eight distinctions – with very high ‘A’s in:
English- Afrikaans
- Hebrew
- Maths
- Life Orientation
- Business Studies
- Physical Science
- Maths Paper 3
He was presented with a certificate of excellence from Mr Boy Ngobeni, head of department of the GDE, and Ms Barbara Creecy, MEC for Education, at a ceremony earlier this month in the presence of Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokoyane.
Rabbi Hadar said he was “deeply impressed and tremendously proud” of Menachem’s achievements “which are due to his consistent and amazing hard work.”
