Chrismukkah Reversible Wrapping Paper
ANT KATZ
US-user Sarah tipped us off to the latest marketing idea in America – two-sided gift wrap – one is for Christmas and the other for Chanukah (sorry, Hanukkah).
One side has Santa on his hopped up holiday hot rod and the other has Hanukkah Harry on his most meshuggener motorcycle.
RIGHT:This offering
has both options
printed on the same
side of the paper
Perfect for families with multiple cultural influences or when you’re not sure what holiday to wrap for.
These irrepressible Americans, not happy with having last month come up with a name for Thanksgiving and Chanukah (Thanksgivinkah), have now come up with the name for the wrapping paper – “Chrismukkah” reversible wrapping paper.
We researched a bit deeper and found that there were more options on the table than the example Sarah photographed and sent us.
LEFT: This offering also looks like
it offers both patterns on one side –
but that is just folded for the pic,
it is, in fact, two-sided
And there is some some good sales talk out there too – “We have Christmas and Hanukkah gift wrapping covered,” shouts one company’s advert, “with two differently decorated sides.”
“The winter solstice holiday season sure has gotten confusing,” says another.
“If you have some friends who celebrate Christmas and some friends who celebrate Hanukkah and still others who celebrate both,” says another ad we found out there, not to worry, just “save time and money with this clever double-sided paper! Wrap everything and offend nobody,” promises one ad we found.
Only in America…
