JOHN HAGGEE MINISTRIES – the Christian pro-Israel group – held its 32nd annual Night to Honour Israel and distributed almost $3 million in donations to Israeli and Jewish charities.
Former Arkansas Governor and presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker on Sunday at the event held at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. Also speaking were Maya Kadosh, deputy counsel general of Israel to the American Southwest, and Hagee – who is also the founder and chairman of the worldwide “Christians United for Israel” group.
Hagee spoke about threats to Israel, including Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
“Iran’s charm offensive is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to buy more time for their nuclear weapons program. The Senate must pass a new round of sanctions against Iran without delay,” Hagee declared.
Hagee Ministries distributed more than $2.7 million in donations to such organizations as the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Eretz Nehederet, Friends of the IDF, Hadadi Center for Breast Cancer, International Council of Young Israel, Jewish Agency for Israel, Koby Mandell Foundation, Meir Panim, Nefesh B’Nefesh, Ohr Torah Stone, Save a Child’s Heart, and Yad Vashem.
