Well done girls

For three weeks Sophie Hodes and Jade Robinson sold R5 tickets once a week at break to their fellow-learners in grades one, two and three.

They created such a level of excitement and heightened awareness for the SPCA as well as for their huge main prize and consolation prizes that the
phenomenal response to the ticket sales was way over their expectations.

The girls raised a whopping R4,500 for the SPCA!

RIGHT: Sophie Hodes and Jade Robinson with SPCA kennel assistant Chris Kamwendo and Basset, Mr Plod (who has since been adopted and has a new home).

The bumper prize was a one-night stay at Gold Reef City, including dinner and breakfast and as well as theme park tickets, movie tickets and ten pin bowling tickets.

Several smaller prizes were also won.
