Fitness competition: join the party Wednesday

Jewish Report is giving one lucky family of readers, before Shabbat, an array of specialised and personalised family fitness products and services which will mainly be provided by 10 specialist sports scientists.
A PRIZE-GIVING will be held on Wednesday November 25 at CycleZone at 18:00 for 18:30 and will include talks by training specialists as well as product demonstrations. The venue is on the corner of Jan Smuts and Tyrwhitt Avenues, in Rosebank.
Light kosher refreshments, sponsored by KosherWorld, will be served and all are welcome to attend. Meet the various product and service suppliers and win product hampers and discount vouchers.
It has been a lot of fun running the promotion on Friday mornings on 101.9 ChaiFM – with listeners full of questions for our sponsors and lots of entries for the give-aways.
One of those who became involved after the competition had started, was Sigdaris Sports who gave away a pair of compression socks (wow, these things aren’t cheap) to a ChaiFM listener and will be giving out more at the prize-giving. Anyone who has any questions about compression socks, for during and after training, can come and find out.
Garyn Cohen
Another regular 101.9 ChaiFM listener, Morningside podiatrist Garyn Cohen, also got involved. Garryn is a sports specialst. His interview this morning had a great impact; he gave away a free session and will be at the prize-giving, answering lots of questions if his on-air inflow was anything to go by this morning. Garryn will also he will also give away another free podiatry session at the prize-giving event on Wednesday.
Also expected to be attending will be Exercise Solutions’ founder and well-known sports scientist Zac van Heerden; stability trainer Craig Lewis; running coach David Katz; functional sports nutritionist Ian Craig; see TomTom’s health range; sports physiotherapist Aurelle Medalie; representatives from CycleZone; The Sweat Shop; Dean Abro and Mark Wolff of 32Gi; and home-based trainer Gabi Riesnik.
