This is the rules and SIMPLE entry form. Users can enter as many as four times over the next four weeks under any (or all) unique e-mail addresses and one lucky family of readers are going to win the best home-based training and health assistance money can buy. This prize is not to be sneezed at and is worth a whopping R20 000-plus. And your family gets to meet some of the top sports scientists in every field in SA.

Easy to enter: Go to end of this page,

Readers please note that details on all the prizes appear on this website.
Find them under the “LATEST” tab or wait for us to link them in tomorrow.
So, what exactly is this stunning prize?
The prize stands at more than R22 000 and consists of an array of specialised and personalised family fitness options, which will be provided by 10 specialists working for seven sponsoring entities, as follows:
- From “Exercise Solutions”:
- Founder and well-known sports scientist Zac van Heerden will do an initial heart rate zone and body composition test and follow-up assessment after six months;
- A functional movement body mechanics assessment and free starter pack core and stability training programme with Craig Lewis;
- Six-months of personalised coaching built on the assessment results and your goals with David Katz;
- An extended 90 minute session with functional sports nutritionist Ian Craig;
- A TomTom GPS training watch + heart rate monitor;
- Up to six home-based personal physiotherapy sessions with specialist sports physiotherapist Aurelle Medalie;
- An in-store bike positional and power assessment and ride pack (8 x sessions) at CycleZone in Rosebank, Johannesburg;
- A voucher to the value of R1 000 to spend at South Africa’s leading running and sportswear store, the Sweat Shop Dunkeld Centre;
- A R1 000 hamper from one of the market leading sports nutrition suppliers,32Gi, a proudly Jewish South African company; and
- Home-based personal training with specialist in strength training, flexibility, ante- and post-natal training, Gabi Riesnik.
In the PRE-PUBLICITY BLURB published on October 14, regular online user Denis Solomons posted the following: “In this heat one definitely needs motivation to be and stay fit. Exercise causes the release of endorphins which creates the ‘feel good’ feeling associated with sport. Just keeping one’s weight in check is a mission in itself. A personalised trainer(s) will help in this quest to keep fit and avoid illness. A wonderful prize. A shekeach to SAJR and a good way to prevent ageing.”
It’s so easy to enter the competition:
To enter the competition all you have to do is go to the comments section which you will find at the bottom of this page and simply enter your name and e-mail address and a place any comment. These can range from “Yes please” to “My family could really do with this prize because…” or anything in between.
You can enter once a week from any e-mail address; in other words, unless six days has expired between multiple entries from the same e-mail address, all entries by that entrant will be disqualified.
Of course, everyone in the family who has an e-mail address can be entering a maximum of four times each.
Entries which do not include e-mail addresses will automatically be disqualified as Jewish Report will have no means of contacting the entrant.
Rules and regulations:
- Your entry(or entries) must include a valid e-mail address;
- All entrants must be registered to receive Jewish Report Online’s weekly newsletter. CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE FOR FREE – OPT OUT ANYTIME. It’s as simple as one–two–three and as a subscriber you get the ePaper every Wednesday evening, together with a newsletter and links to stories on the website that do not appear in the newspaper – as well as regular competitions. If you do not want to remain a subscriber once the competition is over, every week’s newsletter has an option to “unsubscribe”;
- The winning family will have to attend the prize-giving event in Rosebank on Wednesday 25 November where they will meet the service and product suppliers;
- Entrants who live outside of Johannesburg – or even SA – are welcome to enter on behalf of friends or family members in Johannesburg – unfortunately the prizes are only available to Johannesburg residents;
- Home-based service providers will offer free travel within a 20 km radius of Rosebank Mall – should the winning family stay beyond that distance additional travelling fees may apply;
- Any special conditions applicable to service providers will appear on the respective pages on this website.
- The judging will take place by means of using a RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR to select an entry number from all qualifying entrants at 16:00 on Friday November 20.
- The lucky winning family will be advised on Sunday November 22. The winners’ names will also be published on the web on Monday November 23 in the newsletter of Wednesday November 28 the same week’s print edition
- The winning family will have the option when they would like the six-month period of the prize to commence, but that date must be by March 1, 2016;
- Employees and their immediate families of the Jewish Report and prize sponsors, may not enter the competition.
- Winners must to be prepared to be photographed at the editor’s discretion for promotional purposes.
- The decision of the RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR will be final and binding – and no correspondence or queries whatsoever shall be entertained thereafter.

‘Yes Please, my family will really benefit from receiving this prize. My daughters both have full time careers which leaves them limited time for physical activity. It would be so nice to focus on general health and fitness together – please consider them and their husband and partner. I would love to participate in a physical fitness programme as I am a full time teacher and usually too exhausted to exercise on my own.’

‘I am an avid weekly reader. I am not Jewish but subscribe as I am a Christian Zionist and pro-Israel. If I am Allowed to enter please throw my name in the hat
\nOf course, Richard. You are most welcome to enter – as much as any other user. And remember each member of your family can enter once a week until the entries close. In terms of our rules, ANY USER means just that. We would probably hand over the prize to the family of a BDS executive with a long face, but if their number comes up, it comes up. Users, feel free to send queries to: online.editor@sajr.co.za
