Herzlia High wins debating trophy
Herzlia High School won the trophy in the South African Council for English Education forum discussion competition at Reddam Tokai last Wednesday.

The team excelled in debating the topic under discussion: “Strict parents are worse than absent parents.” Joseph Zelezniak was named best speaker. The team included Sasha Rodenacker (chairperson), Sammi-Lee Levetan, Keshet Karidi, and Gottlieb and Emma Kibel. The last time Herzlia won this award was in 1990. Prior to that, it had a great run in the 1970s, winning the trophy in 1970, 1973, and 1979.
