Damned if I do, and damned if I don’t!
Gary Selikow
As Israeli writer Amoz Oz put it: “Out there, in the world, all the walls were covered with graffiti: ‘Yids, go back to Palestine,’ so we came back to Palestine, and now the world at large shouts at us: ‘Yids, get out of Palestine’.”
As David Hazony said: “If you reject the Jews having a right to a country of their own, and you do it half a century after the state has become a successful thriving fact, and you do it to justify acts of terror against civilians and collective boycott and public displays of hatred and you do it mainly or only at Israel, despite all the horrors of the world, then you are an anti-Semite!”
As the Nazis dehumanised the Jews before the Holocaust was launched, so the Arab and leftist media and educational networks demonise the Jews of Israel in the same way.
Israel right from the start accepted the United Nations partition plan for Palestine, but the Arabs violently refused it. Israel magnanimously offered the land through Ehud Barak’s offer at Camp David in 2000 and Ariel Sharon’s unilateral withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 and each time received a violent response, making it quite clear that the issue is not about land but about the very existence of Israel, the very existence of the Jewish people.
SA Jewish Voices for a Just Peace seemingly wants genocide and justiies the killing of Jewish babies in Israel. They organize public displays of hatred (and daily put up hate speech on their Facebook page) and should not be tolerated by any Jewish community.
