Jews join countrywide marches for change

The South African Jewish Report and its readers have played their part in the momentous events of the past two weeks – standing up to be counted among the hundreds of thousands of our fellow South Africans in the historic #ZumaMustFall marches for change in the country. We made sure that our voices were heard in protest marches and human chains all around the country. SEE TONS OF PICS – SEND US YOURS…

To all Jewish Report readers and friends,

April was a monumental month in our South African history.  So many of us went out to make our voices heard in protest marches and human chains.

The SA Jewish Report wants to mark this day as a day that Jewish people in this country took a stand. Please help us to do this.

If you have, or are, taking part in any event, march or any other gathering for change in this country, please take photographs and send them to us. Send us messages of what you are experiencing and special anecdotes.

Let us mark our participation in history on the SA Jewish Report website so will always be able to recognise the impact we had.

Send emails to editorial@sajewishreport.co.za and to our Facebook page: southafricanjewishreportnewspaper

For those who aren’t going or want to know what our people are doing around the country, please go to our website www.sajewishreport.co.za to check.

Now, off I go to march to the Union Buildings…

Let’s go out and make a difference!

Warmest regards, Peta Krost Maunder, Editor

‘I hope that the Chief Rabbinate will suspend saying prayers in shuls for the welfare of this government until such time as it changes its stance on Israel.’
