Jonathan Miltz wins Soul Sport award
ILAN HERRMANN
It was at King David Sandton Primary this year that Jonathan’s multiple achievements earned him the Soul Sport trophy and certificate. Each Jewish day school nominates athletes and submits them to be featured in the Soul Sport magazine. Soul Sport then evaluates the nominations and selects a winner.
Jonathan represented South Africa at the Indoor Cricket World Series in 2015 in Australia. The team he was a member of, came second overall. He has achieved provincial colours and is also an A team tennis player at Sandton Primary.
While his strength has been in the indoor arena, Jonathan who is both a very good batsman as well as a talented left-arm off-spin bowler, is focusing his game on the outer field and is doing well.
He says he tries to remain confident and positive, a key, he feels, to his success thus far. His dream is to one day play for the Proteas.
