The student leadership body of 2014/15 along with headmaster, Marc Falconer, Lorraine Srage and Jodi Starkowitz, took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge on the school grounds on Monday.

Van der Westhuizen came to the school and watched how King David took part in the challenge to show how their support for ALS. Borehole water was used to achieve the challenge, as we took into consideration the amount of water that would be unnecessarily wasted.
As learners of King David Linksfield, we have also challenged other schools, namely King David Victory Park, Yeshiva, King Edward School, and Saheti. It was a very successful challenge, and we felt it was important for us to show our solidarity and support for this terrible disease.
We hope our Ice Bucket Challenge has managed to put power behind our message and raise awareness.
