KDHS fondly remembers Lorna Behrman in a memorial service
ELLIOT WOLF
Lorna who passed away recently, was truly one of the pioneers of King David. She started teaching at the school in 1956, the second year of King David’s founding, and retired in 1989. A memorial service was recently held for her.
Her contribution as a teacher and administrator, and also to sport, both on a school and national level, was extraordinary.
I, on a personal level, express my thanks to her as my history teacher in high school and later as a colleague on the staff of KDHS Linksfield. A firm disciplinarian, Lorna will nevertheless be remembered with fondness and respect for the part she played at King David High School, Linksfield.
She left behind a niece, who attended the memorial and her partner of many years, Helen Weir.
