New academic study of anti-Semitism

The “Anti-Semitism in Comparative Perspective” seminar series of ISGAP continues to generate a steady flow of high-quality presentations and papers on a wide range of topics relating to the critical interdisciplinary study of contemporary anti-Semitism.

Between 2012 and 2014, ISGAP hosted seminars at Harvard University, McGill University, Columbia University Law School, Fordham University’s Lincoln Centre Campus in New York, the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, the University of Miami, Sapienza University (Rome), and other academic institutions.

The Yale Papers: Anti-Semitism in Comparative Perspective (published in 2015) – contains a selection of papers presented during this period.  Like the seminars on which they are based, these papers cover topics that have important implications for our understanding of contemporary anti-Semitism, and our efforts to combat this enduring hatred.

The institute says: “It is the hope of all those connected with ISGAP that the papers in this volume will stimulate and inspire readers, help them understand the changing realities of contemporary anti-Semitism.”

ISGAP hopes that this latest volume, as has been the case of all its earlier academic efforts, “continues to fight anti-Semitism on the battlefield of ideas.”

The book is edited by Charles Asher Small (D.Phil, Oxon). Small is the founder and executive director of ISGAP and is currently a Visiting Professor at the Moshe Dayan Centre for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University.

The new volume is a worthy follow up to The Yale papers. Take a look…
