Three-state solution idea has merit
GERALD LEVIN
3-State Solution
Chonnie Romm is reasonable (Stop flogging the dead horse two-state solution – Jewish Report 27 November).
Thus the practical solution is a “3 State Solution” where:
- Egypt mandates Gaza, with a United Nations mandate (like South Africa mandated South West Africa);
- Jordan administers some of the West Bank, starting with 17 to 21 per cent; and
- Israel, Jordan and possibly Egypt join the Commonwealth. A canal from the sea along the Jordan River with desalination will rejuvenate the region.
Details of the 3 state solution are on Wikipedia. Both Egypt and Jordan are important stakeholders. Perhaps statehood will be reached after several years of administration.

‘Instead of one more Islamic Arab state within Israel there will now be two more. Are you insane?
All hostile Arabs must go! So says our Torah. One state only- the Jewish state.’

‘Choni is 100% right. [Sorry, Nat, that’s not allowed -ED] The land does not belong to the Palestinians . Eventually, everyone concerned will see the light.’

‘Agreed, no new potential ISIS state. Between Egypt, Israel & Jordan the situation can be administered. No new potential ISIS state. This is practical! The Nobel Peace prize awaits the honourable implementatiors! The only three states will beEgypt, Israel & Jordan.’
