SA Jews are facing anti-Semitism from all sides

But the vile hate speech and threats are there for all to see in the May 18 edition of SA Jewish Report.

Before May 14, Hamas had thundered that it would send 100 000 of its terrorists from Gaza into Israel to massacre Israelis. This is what they promised!

They then stormed the border, screaming violently for death to the Jews. When the heroic Israel Defence Forces acted to protect Israel’s sovereignty and population, 60 Gazans lay dead, 53 of them reportedly Hamas or Islamic Jihad insurgents.

For this the left, the media and the Muslim lobby in South Africa and around the world accused Israel of firing on “peaceful protesters” and of being worse than Nazis.

The ANC has now threatened us Jews to turn our backs on the Jewish homeland, or leave. The Constitution of South Africa says it guarantees freedom of association and respect for minorities. Clearly, it is not worth the paper it is written on.

South Africais the most anti-Semitic country outside the Muslim world, and I will never again be proud to be South African as long as the anti-Semitic ANC is in power.

As for SA Jews for a Free Palestine, these people are the most vile of all. Since ancient times, the Jews have been vulnerable to betrayal by the least satisfied people in their own ranks, who seek revenge on their own people for real and imagined slights.

There were the collaborators who worked with the Greeks and Romans during the occupation of Israel by their empires; the Yevsektsiya in the Soviet Union; and the Judenrat during the Holocaust. Now there are the Jew-hating Jews of today with their hatred of Israel and its people, and their efforts to do Israel harm and encourage its genocidal foes like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian and Syrian regimes.

One of the most unfortunate developments in exile was the loathsome moser. He was the opposite of the shtadlan, who interceded with the authorities, speaking for the Jews to those in power.
