SAUJS leaders want to meet their elders
ANT KATZ
Whether you hear it billed as the “SAUJS Gala Dinner” or the “SAUJS Alumni Gala Dinner,” SAUJS’ special project portfolio head Cayla Urdang assured Jewish Report Online today that “everyone is welcome,” alumni or not. The event is open to everyone in the community.
The formal invitation for the event is below the story, but this is not just any dinner.
This is about the current generation of young Jewish leaders and activists wanting to make connections their elders.

The past chairs and committee members of SAUJS reads like a Who’s-Who of the community. Never mind the campus committees and simply the members. Many of them were in the trenches against the Apartheid regime back in the day.
“As part of the SAUJS special project portfolio for 2015,” explains Cayla, “we are organising an Alumni dinner to be held on 27 July. We are excited to planning an event that will recapture the spirit of previous generations of student activists and create a conversation with the current leadership.”
What a great idea!
Urdang says that the history of SAUJS is very unique. “We are trying to track down as many SAUJS Alumni as possible so that we can relive it,” she says.
“If you could please assist in sending us the names of committee members as well as contact details of anyone you can remember being involved in SAUJS during your time https://www.sajr.co.za/images/default-source/events/jewish/saujs-alumni-gala-dinner-full.jpg” class=”sfImageWrapper”>
