Some sweet news from far-flung East London
ELLEN ETTINGER
Rebbetzen Sarah Galperin recently hosted a challah-making and shaping demonstration at her home for the women of the East London Jewish community.
It went down very well and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended – most of the community!
After a short talk given by Rebbetzen Galperin on Rosh Hashanah and the delicious eats, the women, ranging in ages from 10 to 92, shaped their challot to take home for baking and left with their gifts of ready-baked honey cakes.
