Sydenham hosts PJ Library Pyjama Day for pre-schoolers
Sydenham Pre-school is proud to welcome PJ Library, a reading programme, to South Africa. To celebrate the launch of this global initiative, the school recently hosted a PJ Library Pyjama Party.
Children arrived at school in their pyjamas and, together with their parents, decorated bookmarks to use with their new books.
Parents also donated new and used children’s books, which will be distributed to various charities. In the words of the inimitable US author, Dr Seuss: “You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax. All you need is a book.”
