Taking issue with Habib’s assessment of Mideast situation
Prof Adam Habib, vice-rector of the University of the Witwatersrand in last weekend’s Sunday Times last Sunday wrote an article in the Middle East situation.
ROBERT LIEBERMAN
One would expect a well-balanced assessment of the Israeli position, but instead this supposedly intelligent professor starts his article by saying: “The murder of the three Israeli teenagers prompts a new round of Israeli bombings and incursions. Hamas reacts by firing…”
Hamas reacts !?
Also, if Israel never had the Iron Dome (anti-missile defence) system or bomb shelters, there would have been tens of thousands of Israeli deaths.
Would the world have called for a ceasefire if it were Jews who were dying?
