Treasured domestics get tea and goodies
The Union of Jewish Women’s (UJW’s) annual Domestic Workers’ Tea was held on 26 March. About 120 people were treated to a morning of entertainment, talks, prizes and a fabulous tea at the Waverley Sports Club Hall.

The guests were entertained by Alan Gold before UJW Executive Member Lynne Raphaely began proceedings with the lucky draw. Two mothers whose sons were victims of the recently exposed sexual abuse at Parktown Boys, spoke about their experience, and gave advice about the signs of abuse, and what to do if you suspect abuse is taking place.
A CAP security representative spoke about safety and security, and gave tips about what to do in a dangerous situation, and how to work together to combat crime.
