UJW pays tribute to domestic workers

Musician and singer Alan Gold entertained the guests, who sang along and danced. Hatzolah’s Alon Crouse provided a CPR demonstration and Adrienne Bogatie gave valuable tips on how to save money.

In addition, guests heard the heartbreaking yet inspiring story of Boswell Mhlongo, who spoke about his wrongful conviction, resulting in him spending 13 years in prison for a crime that he didn’t commit.

Each guest went home with a goodie bag made by UJW’s Sewing Empowerment School.  And some women were fortunate enough to have won one of the lucky ticket prizes of a cellphone, watch or luggage to add to their take home gifts.
