Sunday (October 25)

We regret the error.] The Tony Yoko Quartet Concert in aid of Hatzollah takes place at 15:00 at Inyoni Retirement Village, 200 Modderfontein Road, Lyndhurst. *SAZF is holding a Jewish film festival. (The festival which started on October 4 continues until November 17). Cost: R50 per ticket. Today’s movie: “Nicky ´s Family” about Sir Nicholas Winton’s rescue of 669 Czechoslovakian children from the threat of the Nazis. Venue: Beyachad. Time: 15:30. Booking essential. * WIZO Etgar branch hosts a visit to three of Johannesburg’s renowned landscaped gardens in the Bryanston area. Viewing of first garden is at 09:45. * Johannesburg Jewish Activities Club hosts “Jewzi Canoe and Braai” at Emmarentia Dam. Time: 11:00. Cost: R100 pp. A day of fun on the water with an expert canoe coach followed by a braai.
