* Ditsong Museum of Military History in Saxonwold. (next to the Johannesburg Zoo) shows two films with an instruction by Radio Today presenter Selwyn Klass. “The Kid 1921” (52 minutes) sees Charlie Chaplin for the first time as a filmmaker, stepping into feature-length storytelling with this tale of the down-but-never-out tramp. The second movie is “The Red Balloon 1956” (34 minutes). It remains one of the most beloved family films of all time. Time: 14:30. Cost: R100 (incl tea and snacks).
